Good News: Autistic Boy In Castro Valley Who Had Baseball Gear Stolen Gets New Equipment!

Jackson got his mitt, baseball bat, and glove stolen from his mother's car and the 7-year-old (who has autism) was devastated at the loss.  However, after the incident, the league board made sure his gear was replaced! They presented him with a previous donation from Dick's Sporting Goods before his game last night.

“It just made sense,” Castro Valley Little League Secretary Santina Pitcher said. “There was no need to use that for the league. This was the best use of it, for sure.”

Jackson and his mom were SUPER thankful.

“Overwhelmed with emotions,” said mom “Because basically, he just didn’t know what to say. And I am going to go right there with him. I didn’t know what to say.”

She also said she was going to lock her car from now on.
